Middle School & High School Cross Country Meet
Thanks to J.D. Irving Limited for their sponsorship and providing their park in West Saint John for our competition.
Nearly 250 Middle School and High School athletes from across Southern New Brunswick came together to compete at the 3rd annual Invitational Cross Country Meet. It was held at the J.D. Irving Ltd Park on the former Centracare site in West Saint John and organized by the Saint John Track Club. This meet marked the middle of the local competitive cross country season for area schools. It was a beautiful sunny day with two cruise ships in the harbour providing outstanding views. This year boasted the largest turnout ever for this meet with exciting individual races and team competitions. Individual and team results are available below.

SJTC Cross Country Runner Jessica Belliveau garners America East Weekly Honors

ORONO, Maine - University of Maine cross country runners Jessica Belliveau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) and David Englehutt (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia) were named the America East Women's and Men's Runners of the Week on Tuesday for their outstanding performances this past weekend at the UMass Invite in Amherst, Mass.
Belliveau won the women's individual race in a time of 17:39, which helped lead Maine to the team title with 35 points. The Black Bears finished ahead of host-school Massachusetts (40 points) and Vermont (49 points). Belliveau was one of five Black Bears runners who finished in the top 12 of the team standings.
Englehutt was the highest finisher for the Black Bears as he placed sixth in a time of 25:14. The performance helped lead Maine to a second-place finish (63 points) in the five-team event. Englehutt was one of five Black Bears who finished among the top 23 runners in the meet.
Sep 4 2007 - JD Irving Sponsors Cross Country Meets

SJ Track Club is pleased to announce that JD Irving Limited will be a title sponsor for our two Fall Cross Country meets to be held in the JDI Park at Reversing Falls. Now in their third year these meets, one for ditrict 6&8 elementary schools and another for Middle and High School teams these meets have attracted over 300 runners to each event. Through the support of JDI the club has been able to improve these events and off set some of the expenses thus allowing us to continue with no entry fees for participants.
