Apr 30 2011 - On The Roads: SJTC Members Strong at Brent Kelly 5 Miler & Grand-Digue 15km - 2011
Saint John: Club members had very a strong showing at the annual Brent Kelly 5 miler on Saturday. On the guys side, leading the way was Alex Coffin in first, Dean Strowbridge in second, Josh Shanks in 3rd, Bill MacMackin in 6th, Andrew Vail in 9th and Ben Adams in 10th. On the ladies side Alex Coffin ran strong to lead in our club girls. Way to go gang.
Grand -Digue: Racing in Grand Digue, Matt McNeil posted an outstanding time of 50.39 in the 15km race for a 4th place finish. The race was extremely fast won by Ryan Cassidy in a course record time. Way to go Matt.

Barry Britt runs 14:08!
Barry Britt competed at the 53rd Annual Mt. Sac relays in Walnut, California this past weekend. The Hampton, NB athlete who runs for the University of Idaho was able to finish in 9th in the men’s 5000m in a very competitive field. His time of 14:08.90 is the 3rd fastest ever run by a New Brunswick Athlete. Way to go Barry!!
Caleb Jones
Despite very cold and windy condition Caleb Jones (SJTC) was able to win his first outdoor competition of 2011 last week. The javelin thrower threw 64.41m and won by over a meter the 32nd Sun Angel Classic in Temple, Arizona. Congrats Caleb keep up the great work!
