Something For Everyone! At the Saint John Track Club our experienced coaches work with athletes of all ages and skill level toward personal goals, developing skills and experience in track & field. We focus on improving strength, agility and speed in running, jumping and throwing. Athletes have the opportunity to compete in a number of meets in the N.B. and the Atlantic region.
For younger athletes up to age 10 the club provides a program called Run-Jump-Throw during the winter, spring and summer. It teaches young, aspiring track stars the basics of various track & field events plus prepares them for participation in school track meets and the RJTW Series meets.
For athletes who have moved up from Run Jump Throw or athletes who are new to track & field. This program provides basics of all track & field events (Running, Jumps & Throws) plus prepares them for participation in school and provincial competitions.
From April to the end end of May SJTC provides open training sessions for school athletes providing access to coaching, equipment and the UNBSJ track & field facilities helping prepare our local athletes for participation in school competitions.
For athletes ages 11 and over the club provides training for those just looking to train and get fitter we welcome anyone who wants to join us on a recreational basis even if they never want to compete.
For athletes ages 11 and over the club provides training to help them develop in their events of choice and access to the many competitive events throughout the province and region.
Road runners of all ages and abilities are welcome to join our group to get faster or just benefit from the camaraderie of a training group for speed sessions. This will help you prepare for what ever your road race goals are whether they are local, regional and national.
For older athletes over the age of 35, the club provides programs allowing access to equipment and training during the winter, spring and summer. Whether you have experience or note we will help you with the basics of various track & field events plus prepares them for participation in masters competitions locally, regionally and nationally.
The Club offers regular training sessions throughout the winter (indoor track season) and spring/summer (outdoor track season). All prospective athletes are welcome to meet with our club for weekly practices and are welcome to register even after the regular season has started.
