University Results from the Conference Championships

Both the AUS and OUA Track & Field Championships took place this past weekend at UdeM and
the University of Windsor, respectively. There was a strong contingent of SJTC athletes competing
at these events, with several podium finishes. Congratulations to all of our athletes!
SJTC Athlete performances:
- Victoria LeBlanc won gold in the women’s long jump with a best jump of 5.43m. She also finished
5 th in the 300m event with a time of 42.93s.
- Tyler Adams competed in the 600m with a time of 1:27.62 and the 1000m with a time of 2:44.37
earning him 6th and 9th place finishes, respectively
- Michael Colford of New Maryland came home with bronze in the 1500m with a time of 4:04.84. He
also ran a 2:32.60 in the 1000m which earned him 5th place overall.
- Ian Verschoor ran both the 1500m and 3000m, finishing 15th and 11th, respectively.
- Anthony Cormier had a great performance in the triple jump with a best jump of 12.89m which
earned him a silver medal. Cormier also ran the 300m and finished 7th with a time of 37.73s.
- Ryan Evans competed in the OUA Championships and took home bronze in the men’s heptathlon
with a final score of 4527
