Training to resume on February 17th

Dear SJTC members, 

As previously announced, we will be returning to training on February 17th. Please note the following. If you have questions please contact us at this email. 

- We will continue to have the same one-hour training groups as we did over Christmas. 

- Stay with the same group as you did at that time. As a reminder see below and note the slight change to the Saturday start time. 

- Please also note that athletes should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time to allow for screening.

 Monday and Wednesday

5:00 - 6:00 pm

- 8-11 RJT Group  - Julia

- Masters - Throwers - Rebecca/Dave

- Distance/Road Group - Bill 

 

6:00 - 7:00 pm

- Junior Dev Group - Rachelle

- Sprint Group - Sue

- Distance/Road Runner Group - Dean  

 

Please note that the Saturday time has moved one hour earlier.

Saturday (When offered)

9:00 - 10:00

- Masters - Throwers - Rebecca/Dave

- Distance/Road Group - Bill 

- Sprint Group - Sue/Chris

 

Note the following protocols. 

Pre-screening For Symptoms

·       Upon entry to the practice all athletes and coaches will be actively screened by an SJTC Volunteer checking for COVID-19 symptoms and asking all required Orange Phase Screening questions along with temperature checks in the front lobby.

·       SJTC volunteers will log their entry time and health status.

Sanitize

·       Athletes are required to sanitize their hands when entering the facility.

Group Size

·       SJTC groups will be split into two one-hour blocks.

·       Group sizes for each of the one-hour blocks will be limited to 50 athletes.

·       The athlete groups will be further divided into subgroups not larger than 20 athletes under the supervision of any one coach.

Masks

·       All coaches and volunteers will always wear masks.

·       Athletes will always wear masks except while in vigorous training/warm-up.

Physical Distancing

·       All athletes and coaches are expected to maintain 2 meters distance.

·       Change rooms are not available to the athletes.

·       Washrooms will be limited to five users at a time.

·       No spectators.

·       We encourage athletes to arrive independently however, those of a younger age (under the age of 10) may have one of their parents/guardians drop them off or pick them up only. We encourage the same parent or guardian as much as possible.
