In all sports, speed is the most fundamental component.
The Speed Development and Sports Conditioning (Speed for Sport) Program is intended to provide young athletes with the coaching expertise they need to achieve greater success in explosive sports like hockey, soccer, football, rugby, and court sports. During this program, an athlete will learn the mechanics and principles of athleticism needed to meet the demands of their sport.
Increasing speed, quickness, explosive power, balance, endurance, flexibility, spatial awareness, and functional muscle mobility is accomplished by exposing the athlete to a variety of intensive training elements. There will be variety in each session as an athlete's training needs will be accommodated as well as the sport-specific training needs.
