Volunteer Opportunities
The Saint John Track & Field Club offers two main types of volunteer and coaching opportunities for parents and community members who want to support our athletes and be part of the program.
Meet Support Volunteers play an important role on competition days, helping ensure events run safely and efficiently. Tasks may include race timing and finish line support, recording results, assisting with athlete check-in and event marshalling, managing lane and heat sheets, measuring jumps and throws, retrieving equipment, and supporting field event officials such as long jump, shot put, and high jump. No prior experience is required—training and guidance are provided at each meet.
Coaching Opportunities (Assistant Coaches and Helpers) are available for those interested in being more involved in athlete development during training sessions. These roles support lead coaches with day-to-day practice activities, help supervise groups of athletes, assist with skill demonstrations, and contribute to creating a positive, structured training environment. Coaching experience is helpful but not required, as support and direction are provided.
Whether you can contribute at meets, in coaching, or both, your involvement makes a meaningful difference to the success of our athletes and programs. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact us by filling out the form below.
